I've been trying to do simpler, cleaner drawings while simultaneously getting back in the mood of making art.
(please remember that since I've moved to Korea I don not have a scanner anymore and therefore have to resort to taking pictures of my artwork. It's definitely not the best quality and the colors are slightly different too...)

So lyn went to the SJ-M fanmeeting on my behalf since she was in the area even though she can barely tell Han Geng from Zhou Mi or Donghae from Siwon apart. But apparently, she can tell which is Henry. Just jotting down all the things she can remember in no particular order. Also if she got the boys wrong, pardon her. She only really knows Ryeowook :D

I was reading about Tiger Woods' mistresses and that second one totally made my aniki and I go, "GURL! You are not the sharpest knife, are you?" Other than landing for herself one of the richest dude, the rest of the stuff regarding her make scandals look lame.

If you had kept shut, both of you most probably would have. Not that I condone affairs but I thought mistresses are smarter than that. With her, I am surprised they even lasted 31 months.
ps. lyn is in taipei getting ready for the sj-m fanmeet for my sake... just that she only recognises geng and her favourite, wook and probably henry if he is carrying his violin. still telling her to throw the cookbook at wook from her 5th floor area :P

I think I'll try some different colours next. I'm getting way too fond of brown and asparagus green. Recommend me some new colour schemes? I know there are sites like colourlovers.com, but I'd like to hear your own ideas.
I'm also thinking about doing a collage or two. I've had this one idea for a week or so. But I'm a bit scared how they'll turn out!

i know it's been aggggggggges since i updated but today has been very eventful. for those that dont know, i took redundancy from work and finally finished today. it is SERIOUSLY the weirdest feeling in the world to be leaving the place after 7 years, i cant say i worked exceedingly hard throughout but i put in my fair share of time and effort.
i made most of my closest friends there, and it will be so sad not to see them all on a day to day basis, got to try to keep in touch with everyone though. it's not really sunk in yet that this is no longer my job and i am now unemployed, but i dont regret a second of it.
from now on i am a Mike of Leisure, until i go to university in September 2010 to do Audio Technology and Electronics. i am hoping to do this at Glasgow Caledonian university, whose campus i am going to look around next wednesday (so if anyone i know is in glasgow tuesday night, give me a shout!)
BTW, i've been paid an extremely handsome sum of money too which made me feel a lot better about the whole situation. i went to work today on the train and got in as normal, not expecting anything except to sneak off at lunchtime to go bowling and tbh, to get drunk. at about 10.30 i went to the workshop to find that everyone i know was in there! i was given a short speech about..well me, then i was given a card and told that everyone had pooled together to buy me a gift that had not yet arrived. (will be receiving it next week apparently!)
i was expecting to get upset, but i know that i will see all of the people i am close to again in the future, and need to make sure i keep in touch with everyone. i am amazingly sad to be leaving, but i needed to move on, for me, and also for the future i want with Lauren.
also, it's now 18/17 days until lauren is back with me! just got to keep myself busy and out of trouble / spending for 2 and a half weeks :D

You seemed like the group to ask.
When people write about their Moleskins. Is there a specific one each of you speaks of?
I wondered do you need to buy a Moleskin designed for specific tasks? Like say drawing? Watercolor? Acrylics?
I know that Moleskin has a design for people who write their own music on staffs and such. Is there a break down for various artistic mediums? For various types of writing instruments? Like fountain pens, rollerball, gel ink and the like?

after half a year without a sketchbook, i finally got my hands on one last month. i've wanted to make a post for a while, but really i don't know what feels okay with me to show and what not, so.. well.. here are 4 or 5 scans only..

i first introduced the Swimmerman in this entry and am really interested in whatever mythology i attached to it, so much so that i have been automatically drawing him, or more importantly, his hands.

I burnt a pot today...
It was not my fault really! I blame my lil bro. I was heating up the lodeh when that imp asked me if I can cook maggi for him since he was in a hurry. I did so and promptly forgot about the other pot. Good thing it was on low heat but bye-bye to the santan lemak as it totally evaporated. And another good thing my mom was not home else she would lament over the loss food (more than the pot).
I need to scrub the pot now.
